The update yesterday was to resolve a limited issue with Sign not launching properly and did not address the issue with the non-Google contacts. We are still working to resolve that issue as quickly as possible; however, it is a relatively complicated issue and may take a few weeks to resolve. We have added you to the list to be contacted when we have resolve the issue. We apologize for the inconvenience; however, we appreciate your patience. The programmer has indicated it may take a a few weeks to fully implement a solution, but fixing that issue is our primary focus at this time.

If you are interested in using Sign in the meantime, you can use the following work around. For the contacts you are interested in assigning gestures, you can copy the contact information from the contact list you use and add it to your Google-account contact list. Sign will then recognize those contacts only and allow you to assign gestures for these contacts and use Sign as intended. You shouldn’t have to do this again unless you wish to add or change the contact information. Obviously this is less than ideal; however, it should provide you the opportunity to use Sign until we are able to implement a more permanent solution.

Thanks again for your patience as we work to resolve the issue. We are working hard to resolve the issue with non-Google contact lists and will keep you updated.
